UDAAN Feild visit by Kerela Team

Thirty two students of Islamia College for Orphans, Thalikkulam, Kerela visited the slums of Aligarh city and saw the work done by UDAAN Society under the aegis Urban Health Initiative, in these slums. It was again a great pleasure for UDAAN Society that students from Kerela came all the way to see the activities of UDAAN Society and appreciated the work done even before Aligarh Muslim University VC Dr. PK Abdul Aziz. During the visit the students encountered with the problem and hardship faced by the people of slums in Aligarh, the work done by lock industry workers and met with the adopters of family planning among Muslims. They were much concerned about the education of children in these slums. The whole visit by facilitated by Dr. Mohd. Shahid, our Secretary lalit Upadhyay and Basit. The students also appreciated the work done by Peer educators in the project.

दो बच्चों के घर खोजने में मदद करे चाइल्ड लाइन

अभी अभी खबर मिली है कि फादर जोस अकरा जो अलीगढ़ में अनाथालय चलाते हैं उनके यहाँ अलीगढ़ के दो बच्चे हैं उन्होंने बल कल्याण समिति के माध्यम से निवेदन किया ही कि चाइल्ड लाइन उन बच्चों के घर खोजने में मदद करे | सहर्ष स्वीकार !!!!

चाईल्ड लाइन की शुरुआत उड़ान सोसाइटी ने शायद इसी मकसद से की है| एक ऐसी फ़ोन सेवा जो किसी भी बच्चे को उसकी परेशानी में पड़ने पर २४ घंटे मदद के लिए उपलब्ध रहेगी | और पिछले दिनों में चाईल्ड लाइन की टीम कई बिछड़े हुए बच्चों को उनके परिवार से मिला भी चुकी है| बहुत सुखद अनुभूति है| लेकिन दोस्तों दो बच्चे ऐसे भी मिले जिसमें एक के परिवार में कोई था ही नही और उसके निकटवर्ती रिश्तेदारों ने उसे लेने से इनकार कर दिया, दूसरा दिमागी रूप से थोडा कमजोर था इसलिए अपना पता नहीं बता पाया, दोनों बच्चों को चाइल्ड लाइन की टीम को बड़े बुझे मन से शेल्टर होम छोड़ना पड़ा, जिसका दुख उन्हें आज भी है | प्यारे दोस्तों ये सब आपके उड़ान पर भरोसे का है फल है की हम अपने मकसद में दो कदम और आगे निकल गए है, लेकिन अभी बहुत रास्ते और सफ़र तय करना बाकी भी हैं |

Dear friends,

It is again to glad you that recently two papers were published coauthored  with Dr. Shahid and  Dr. Abdul Waheed on the issues of NAREGA and Educational Empowerment of Minorities in perspectives in Social Work and Empowerment of Weaker Sections in India: Perspectives and Approaches respectively. The First one is the referred Journal of Nirmala Niketan and Second one the Book edited by MM Verma.

How to find the hungry and needy

Dear All,

Today Dr. Sudip has called me and gave a tough task of finding out most hungry and needy people in the area of our work. The idea behind raising the question is that despite all the government efforts there are people who along with their family members are not able to meet both the ends and their families live amid hunger and starvation. Dr. Sudeep has discussed the situation with some of his generous friends who are ready to help but the beneficiary must be really needy and facing the worst condition in his day to day life i.e. there is no ray of hope for his support from any one and his family is near to starvation. Dr. Sudeep's friends can give cereals, rice, daal to such family and even can take pain to bear the cost of supply of food grains etc. to such families. Also as per my discussion with him there is no issue of quantity and regularity. The real problem lies in identification of honest and transparent people to whom supply can be given and they further identify real beneficiaries. In this regard he called me today and asked for the solution.
I kindly request all of you to find the solution in term of monitoring of supply and identification of beneficiaries who are really in need.
